S.C. Dickens was born in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn and later
relocated with both parents and siblings to the East New York section of
Brooklyn (Cypress Hills Housing Projects). S.C. Dickens attended all of the
local schools in his neighborhood and later graduated from high school.
S.C. Dickens joined the New York City Police Department in 1996 and
became a New York City Police Officer to only have that career altered by
some high ranked supervisor’s by way of racism and other dilemma’s, that he
will disclose at a later date about it in a full novel uncovering the whole incident.
S.C. Dickens later married and moved his family to North Carolina for a better
life and with certain dreams comes consequences. Within that move, more
drama struck home and it left him and his happy marriage in a spiral. This
ultimately resulted in them separating, and within the time that he was separated
from his wife, he started back drawing and writing short stories to escape
reality. He would e-mail these stories to family and friends at first, and then he
would e-mail them to complete strangers. As he was getting feedback from
everyone about his talent, within a two-year span, he wrote and completed 15
novels.
S.C. Dickens decided to release his first book of short stories called Through
The Eyes Of The Streets to see if he could get a fan base, and he ultimately
sold 2000 copies by hand. S.C. Dickens later released his first novel "Didn’t
See This Coming", which everyone that read his first book became even bigger
fans of.
